A 3-hour tall ship adventure on STS Leeuwin II is an experience you and your family will cherish for a long time. Built in Western Australia in the style of an 1850’s three-masted barquentine, STS Leeuwin II is a Western Australian icon and a credit to her architect (Len Randall) and the many organisations who contributed to her construction and who have maintained her ever since.
Launched in 1986, STS Leeuwin II was purpose built for sail training. Over 40,000 young people have experienced the thrill and adventure of life at sea on Australia’s largest sail training tall ship. You can get a taste of an ocean going adventure on board this magnificent steel ship next summer.
On a day sail, you’ll be encouraged to haul on the lines to help set the sails, steer the ship under the watchful eye of the Captain and maybe even don a harness and get into the rigging – but if not, feel the wind on your face and keep an eye out for local marine life.
No sailing experience is required.
