Woodside Scholarships available state-wide
Early in October, the Leeuwin Foundation announced that Woodside scholarship funding is now available state-wide.
Woodside have been a supporter of the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation for many years because of a shared ambition to play a positive role in the lives of young members of our community and to help them fulfil their opportunities and potential.
This Woodside Scholarship is aimed at young people aged 14-25, who reside in WA and are interested in a career in the marine environment or the maritime
industry.
The scholarship covers up to $1,500, leaving $800 (minimum) to be covered by the applicant or other sponsors for the complete voyage fare of $2,300 (2018 price).
Students need to demonstrate an interest in a maritime or marine career to be eligible – which includes careers as diverse as: Naval engineering; Naval architecture; Marine engineering; Ocean engineering; Shipwright / Boatbuilder; Marine electrical; Marine mechanical; Marine tourism; Marine biology; Oceanography; Navy; Fishing industry.
The cost of transport to and from the ship is not included in the voyage/scholarship amount and apply today!
