Our Ocean Adventure Voyage are designed for ages 16+, including adults of all ages - no upper age limit, but you would need to be somewhat physically fit.

The Captain departs harbour and chooses the best sailing direction based on wind and weather conditions — making every voyage unique. (Note: shore days are dependent on weather conditions).

Family and friends can follow the ship’s journey live via the Live Tracker.

This is a working ship — and you are part of the crew. During the voyage you will be:

  • Setting and furling the sails
  • Climbing the masts and working aloft
  • Standing watch while sailing through the night
  • and much more!

Weather conditions, watch rotations and ship positioning shape each day — there is never a dull moment.

On the last full day of the voyage, it’s over to you. Together, you’ll nominate a relief ship’s crew from within your teams – who has shown leadership, team management skills and capability? It could be you. Test your knowledge and skills and work together to chart the ship’s course to a new anchorage.

Our Ocean Adventure Voyages cost between $2,230 and $4,460, depending on the number of days.

We understand that voyage costs can be a barrier for individuals and families, which is why we are happy to discuss potential funding options to support interested trainees. There is space in the voyage application form to let us know that you need support. We will then contact you to discuss these options.

The Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation is a not-for-profit, and all funds directly support the our operations, the maintenance, and future youth programs.
