Curtin scholarships available for voyage trainees

Have you completed a Leeuwin Youth Explorer Voyage? You may be eligible for a $3,000 scholarship from Curtin University!

Leeuwin Ocean Adventure is endorsed by Curtin University Learning Futures Network, qualifying students who have completed a voyage to apply for the Curtin SHAPE scholarship.

The Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) has been developed to reward and assist students who have demonstrated high achievement and performance engagement, and want to pursue study at Curtin University. Scholarships for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) recipients are committed to and show a strong desire to learn, demonstrate high-level capability in one or more discipline areas and have high aspirations for themselves.

SHAPE provides students with a one-off cash payment of $3,000 to be used at the recipient’s discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses.

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have completed one or more endorsed Curtin Achievement Centred Engagement for Students (ACES) activities, such as a voyage on STS Leeuwin II.

To apply for the scholarship, you need to submit an online personal statement and obtain an online recommendation from a school staff member or ACES endorsed program leader such as Leeuwin Ocean Adventure’s Education Manager, Michelle.
