Amazing Adult adventure onboard WA’s own tall ship!
Our Adult Explorer Voyage is an 7/8 day voyage for people aged 18 and over with a sense of adventure! Have you always wanted to know what it’s like to sail on Leeuwin, maybe you missed out on a voyage as a child or have had your own child sail and have heard all about how incredible it is. Maybe you sailed as a child and would love another chance to do it again but don’t fit the age bracket for our Youth Explorer voyages anymore! Whatever the reason, now is your chance!
No previous sailing experience is required for any Leeuwin Ocean Adventure voyages.
Where do we go?
Who is it for?
Adult Explorer Voyages are designed for adults aged 18 and over – no upper age limit, but you would need to be somewhat physically fit.
A day on board
We run a working ship, so during the voyage you will be part of a whole heap of activities, including:
- Setting and furling the sails
- Climbing the masts and working aloft
- Standing watch while sailing through the night
Weather conditions, watch roster and ship positioning affects the schedule so there is never a dull moment.
On the last full day of the voyage, it’s over to you. Together, you’ll nominate a relief ship’s crew from within your teams – who has shown leadership, team management skills and capability? It could be you. Test your knowledge and skills and work together to chart the ship’s course to a new anchorage.
